Keogh Cosmetic Surgery Report due in March

Keogh Cosmetic Surgery Report due in March

12/31/2012

The cosmetic surgery industry is waiting with bated breath for the Bruce Keogh report into cosmetic surgery in the United Kingdom.
Reports today suggest that there may be a focus on tightening the rules on cosmetic surgery advertising. In particular there is concern over discounts , used as some clinics as inducements to go ahead with surgery.
This will be interesting to follow. There is no doubt that many people looking to have cosmetic surgery ask for discounts and offers when comparing different clinics. Perhaps the fact that discounts are advertised so much in the world of cosmetic surgery, it is no surprise that clients are not afraid to haggle with Plastic Surgeons and clinics to get the best deal that they can.
Most Plastic Surgeons and clinics are expecting some changes when the report is published in March. Others say that the industry is already regulated sufficiently through the Care Quality Commission.
Watch this space for more news in the Spring.
