Cancelling your operation

Cancelling your operation

11/17/2012

Sometimes other events in life take over, and we cant predict what is around the corner.
If something major comes up and you need to cancel your operation, then you need to get the paperwork put that you signed.
Plastic surgeons understand that certain events take over, such as a family bereavement for example, and it is impossible for you to go ahead. On circumstances such as this, the surgeon may advise that you dont go ahead anyway. You need to be in a positive frame of mind for cosmetic surgery
When you check your documentation you may find that there is financial penalty to cancel your surgery. Usually the nearer the date of the surgery you cancel, the higher the cancellation fee
If you just want to change the date of your surgery , you will probably find the clinic to be a little more forgiving and there may not be a charge at all.
When you cancel your surgery the surgeon loses money. He may have to pay the hospital a cancellation fee and he will look to recover this from you
So be sure to read the small print of any patient contract that you are asked to sign and check out the cancellation policy
